Alibey ranks 158th by electorate among the 184 localities of Adıyaman. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 68 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to independents with 22 votes, while across Adıyaman the leading party was AK Parti, with independents here running 29.6 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 46 of 63 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 11.0 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 71 of 78 valid votes were 'yes' — 27.2 points above the district average.
At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to İYİ Parti with 34 votes, while Adıyaman as a whole was won by CHP. The electorate shrank from 92 registered voters in 2011 to 68 in 2023 — a change of about 26 percent. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 93.2%, 20.8 points above the district average. The tightest race came at the 2023 parliamentary election: independents took 22 votes to AK Parti's 21 — a margin of just 1 vote.
