How Gumuslu votes

A single ballot box served Gumuslu at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 41 registered voters; that places it 103rd among the 104 localities of Besni.

The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 25 votes, while across Besni the leading party was AK Parti, with CHP here running 33.1 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 38 of 44 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 51.5 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 47 of 51 valid votes were 'no' — 60.1 points above the district average.

Turnout at the 2024 local election was 93.2%, 12.8 points above the district average. The tightest race came at the 2009 local election: AK Parti took 38 votes to CHP's 37 — a margin of just 1 vote. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 31 votes, while Besni as a whole was won by AK Parti. The electorate shrank from 119 registered voters in 2011 to 41 in 2023 — a change of about 66 percent.
