Sariyaprak-Fatih is one of the localities of Besni; it had 453 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 66.4% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Besni the same party stood at 61.0%, putting the neighborhood 5.4 points above the district average. At the 2010 referendum 78.2% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 76.8%.
At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 62.7%, while Besni as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2009 local election was 94.4%, 6.8 points above the district average.
