Sugozu-Ataturk is one of the localities of Besni. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 140 voters were registered there for the 2011 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 57 votes, while across Besni the leading party was AK Parti with 61.0%, leaving CHP at 19.8%. At the 2010 referendum 71 of 111 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 76.8%.
Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 93.6%, 11.8 points above the district average.
