Yesilyurt ranks 44th by electorate among the 49 localities of Gerger. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 93 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.

77 people voted at that election. AK Parti took the most votes with 38; CHP followed with 19. AK Parti's share here is 24.0 points below the district average. In the presidential runoff, 51 of 73 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 87.1%. At the 2017 referendum 53 of 80 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 87.7%.

At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 48 votes, while Gerger as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 84.6%, 8.4 points above the district average.
