The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 73.5%, while across Ağrı the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 47.2%, leaving AK Parti at 34.6%. The same divide shows in the presidential runoff: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 87.1% here and 46.4% across the district.
