How Kalender votes

Kalender ranks 38th by electorate among the 124 localities of Ağrı; it had 265 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.

Yeşil Sol Parti took 80.8% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Ağrı the same party stood at 47.2%, putting the neighborhood 33.5 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu took 75.3% here and 53.6% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 77.9% of the neighborhood voted 'no'; across the district that was 46.2%.

The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2014: the same political line has finished first in all of the last 7 elections (BDP in 2014, Yeşil Sol Parti in 2015, HDP in 2019, DEM Parti in 2024). Yeşil Sol Parti stood at 96.7% at the 2015 parliamentary election and fell to 80.8% by 2023. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 56.6%, 12.5 points below the district average.
