How Sogan Eleskirt votes Sogan Eleskirt ranks 99th by electorate among the 124 localities of Ağrı. The village has a single ballot box, and 82 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 33 votes, while across Ağrı the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 47.2%, leaving AK Parti at 34.6%. In the presidential runoff, 41 of 64 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 46.4%. At the 2017 referendum 55 of 70 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 53.8%.
The picture has not changed since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 9 elections. At the 2024 local election the village went to AK Parti with 23 votes, while Ağrı as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 55.3%, 13.8 points below the district average.
