The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 55 votes, while across Ağrı the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 47.2%, leaving AK Parti at 34.6%. In the presidential runoff, 73 of 76 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 46.4%. At the 2017 referendum 76 of 76 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 53.8%.
