At the 2023 parliamentary election Yukariagadeve had 269 registered voters, placing it 36th among the 124 localities of Ağrı.
Yeşil Sol Parti took 139 of the 178 valid votes cast in the village at that election (78.1%). That puts the village 30.8 points above the party's district average. In the presidential runoff Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu took 85.1% here — 31.5 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 61.5% of the village voted 'no' — 15.4 points above the district average.
Turnout at the 2024 local election was 59.0%, 10.1 points below the district average. At the 2024 local election the village went to AK Parti with 56.7%, while Ağrı as a whole was won by DEM Parti.
