Yukariagadeve ranks 36th by electorate among the 124 localities of Ağrı; it had 269 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.
Yeşil Sol Parti took 78.1% in the village at that election. Across Ağrı the same party stood at 47.2%, putting the village 30.8 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu took 85.1% here and 53.6% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 61.5% of the village voted 'no'; across the district that was 46.2%.
At the 2024 local election the village went to AK Parti with 56.7%, while Ağrı as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 59.0%, 10.1 points below the district average.
