The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 82 votes, while across Ağrı the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 47.4 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 90 of 100 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 43.6 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 113 of 117 valid votes were 'yes' — 42.8 points above the district average.
