The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 50.0%, while across Diyadin the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 65.7%, leaving AK Parti at 18.1%. The same divide shows in the presidential runoff: Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 91.5% here and 25.7% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 75.0% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 31.9%.
