Soguksu ranks 68th by electorate among the 68 localities of Diyadin. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 12 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 12 votes, while across Diyadin the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 65.7%, leaving AK Parti at 18.1%. In the presidential runoff, 12 of 14 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 25.7%. At the 2017 referendum 8 of 9 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 31.9%.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2011: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 7 elections. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 7 votes, while Diyadin as a whole was won by DEM Parti.
