How Soguksu votes

A single ballot box served Soguksu at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 12 registered voters; that places it 68th among the 68 localities of Diyadin.

The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 12 votes, while across Diyadin the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 61.9 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 12 of 14 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 60.0 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 8 of 9 valid votes were 'yes' — 57.0 points above the district average.

At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 7 votes, while Diyadin as a whole was won by DEM Parti. The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2011: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 7 elections.
