Asagitavla ranks 86th by electorate among the 100 localities of Doğubayazıt; it had 57 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.

Yeşil Sol Parti took 50.0% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Doğubayazıt the same party stood at 74.2%, putting the neighborhood 24.2 points below the district average.
