The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 23 votes, while across Doğubayazıt the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 42.5 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 30 of 47 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 46.0 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 62 of 75 valid votes were 'yes' — 58.8 points above the district average.
