Kayayolu ranks 68th by electorate among the 75 localities of Eleşkirt. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 52 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to Yeşil Sol Parti with 12 votes, while across Eleşkirt the leading party was AK Parti, with Yeşil Sol Parti here running 10.5 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 12 of 22 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 17.0 points above the district average.
