Oklavali is one of the localities of Eleşkirt; it had 414 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 80.9% in the village at that election. Across Eleşkirt the same party stood at 74.1%, putting the village 6.8 points above the district average. At the 2010 referendum 100.0% of the village voted 'yes'; across the district that was 97.4%.
At the 2009 local election the village went to Demokrat Parti with 67.3%, while Eleşkirt as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 73.2%, 6.9 points below the district average.
