Sarikoy ranks 26th by electorate among the 75 localities of Eleşkirt. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 247 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to Yeşil Sol Parti with 82 votes, while across Eleşkirt the leading party was AK Parti, with Yeşil Sol Parti here running 22.6 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 80 of 137 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 20.8 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 119 of 175 valid votes were 'no' — 42.8 points above the district average.
Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 62.8%, 6.2 points below the district average. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to DEM Parti with 79 votes, while Eleşkirt as a whole was won by AK Parti. The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2014: the same political line has finished first in all of the last 7 elections (BDP in 2014, Yeşil Sol Parti in 2015, HDP in 2019, DEM Parti in 2024).
