With 78 voters on the roll at the 2023 parliamentary election, Karadogu stands 41st among the 50 localities of Hamur, and its votes were cast at one ballot box.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 23 votes, while across Hamur the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 13.8 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 22 of 43 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 8.7 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 37 of 48 valid votes were 'yes' — 19.6 points above the district average.
The tightest race came at the 2023 parliamentary election: AK Parti took 23 votes to Yeşil Sol Parti's 19 — a margin of just 4 votes. First place has changed hands 7 times here since 2009. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to Yeniden Refah with 34 votes, while Hamur as a whole was won by DEM Parti. The electorate shrank from 99 registered voters in 2011 to 78 in 2023 — a change of about 21 percent.
