Meydandagi ranks 86th by electorate among the 122 localities of Patnos. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 150 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.

In the presidential runoff, 95 of 106 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu; across the district that share was 72.4%. At the 2017 referendum 143 of 156 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 65.4%.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2015: the same political line has finished first in all of the last 6 elections (Yeşil Sol Parti in 2015, HDP in 2019, DEM Parti in 2024). At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to DEM Parti with 73 votes, while Patnos as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 88.7%, 20.0 points above the district average.
