How Samanyolu votes

A single ballot box served Samanyolu at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 52 registered voters; that places it 39th among the 41 localities of Taşlıçay.

39 people voted at that election. Yeşil Sol Parti took the most votes with 28; AK Parti followed with 4. Yeşil Sol Parti's share here is 8.8 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 30 of 38 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 10.1 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 23 of 41 valid votes were 'yes' — 14.3 points above the district average.

Turnout at the 2024 local election was 50.0%, 29.5 points below the district average. The tightest race came at the 2011 parliamentary election: independents took 22 votes to AK Parti's 17 — a margin of just 5 votes. The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2014: the same political line has finished first in all of the last 7 elections (BDP in 2014, Yeşil Sol Parti in 2015, HDP in 2019, DEM Parti in 2024).
