Ipekkusak ranks 40th by electorate among the 85 localities of Tutak. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 134 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 39 votes, while across Tutak the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 25.9 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 51 of 62 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 40.6 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 147 of 152 valid votes were 'yes' — 40.2 points above the district average.
At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 40 votes, while Tutak as a whole was won by DEM Parti. First place has changed hands 3 times here since 2009. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 43.1%, 30.7 points below the district average. The tightest race came at the 2019 local election: AK Parti took 27 votes to HDP's 23 — a margin of just 4 votes.
