How Karakoy votes

Karakoy is one of the localities of Altındağ. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 201 voters were registered there for the 2011 parliamentary election.

The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 166 votes, while across Altındağ the leading party was AK Parti with 62.8%, leaving CHP at 22.5%. At the 2010 referendum 183 of 192 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 32.7%.

The picture has not changed since 2009: CHP has finished first in all of the last 5 elections. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 140 votes, while Altındağ as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 99.0%, 10.5 points above the district average.
