Bozhoyuk is one of the localities of Hatay Merkez; it had 477 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 70.2%, while across Hatay Merkez the leading party was CHP with 66.4%, leaving AK Parti at 26.5%. At the 2010 referendum 81.5% of the village voted 'yes'; across the district that was 28.2%.
At the 2009 local election the village went to AK Parti with 54.1%, while Hatay Merkez as a whole was won by CHP. Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 95.8%, 8.7 points above the district average.
