Harbiye-Karyer is one of the localities of Hatay Merkez; it had 3,350 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
CHP took 82.6% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Hatay Merkez the same party stood at 66.4%, putting the neighborhood 16.1 points above the district average. At the 2010 referendum 89.5% of the neighborhood voted 'no'; across the district that was 71.8%.
