Yesilova is one of the localities of Hatay Merkez; it had 398 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.

The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 79.6%, while across Hatay Merkez the leading party was CHP with 66.4%, leaving AK Parti at 26.5%. At the 2010 referendum 82.4% of the village voted 'yes'; across the district that was 28.2%.
