Madenli-Cankaya is one of the localities of İskenderun; it had 1,023 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
CHP took 94.0% in the neighborhood at that election. Across İskenderun the same party stood at 43.5%, putting the neighborhood 50.5 points above the district average. At the 2010 referendum 96.3% of the neighborhood voted 'no'; across the district that was 60.4%.
