Ucgulluk-Cumhuriyet is one of the localities of İskenderun; it had 1,061 registered voters at the 2011 parliamentary election.
CHP took 878 of the 937 valid votes cast in the neighborhood at that election (93.7%). That puts the neighborhood 50.2 points above the party's district average. At the 2010 referendum 98.2% of the neighborhood voted 'no' — 37.8 points above the district average.
