Same place, formerly a town. Until 2014 this was the town (belde) of Karaköse; when Law 6360 abolished the municipality it became today's neighborhood. The pre-2014 results on this page belong to that period; we combined them on one page so the place's history reads continuously.

Karakose ranks 4th by electorate among the 47 localities of Yayladağı; it had 1,084 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 60.1% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Yayladağı the same party stood at 58.6%, putting the neighborhood 1.4 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 89.1% here and 82.1% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 81.8% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 69.9%.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 15 elections. AK Parti stood at 85.9% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 60.1% by 2023. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 95.9%, 5.1 points above the district average.
