The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 53.8%, while across Aliağa the leading party was CHP with 39.3%, leaving AK Parti at 38.0%. At the 2010 referendum 55.2% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 39.2%.
