At the 2023 parliamentary election Golcuk had 1,114 registered voters, placing it 23rd among the 101 localities of Ödemiş.
CHP took 534 of the 997 valid votes cast in the neighborhood at that election (53.6%). That puts the neighborhood 17.2 points above the party's district average. In the presidential runoff Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu took 66.1% here — 11.8 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 67.7% of the neighborhood voted 'no' — 6.8 points above the district average.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2009: CHP has finished first in all of the last 15 elections. The tightest race came at the 2011 parliamentary election: CHP took 573 votes to AK Parti's 559 — a margin of just 14 votes. CHP recorded its highest share at the 2015 parliamentary election with 58.7%. Turnout at the 2009 local election was 95.2%, 6.3 points above the district average.
