Helete Cumhuriyet ranks 9th by electorate among the 19 localities of Çağlayancerit; it had 662 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 38.6% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Çağlayancerit the same party stood at 43.2%, putting the neighborhood 4.5 points below the district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 69.0% here and 66.3% across the district. At the 2010 referendum 67.3% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 71.3%.
AK Parti stood at 55.7% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 38.6% by 2023. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to MHP with 44.9%, while Çağlayancerit as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 77.8%, 7.9 points below the district average.
