Same place, formerly a town. Until 2014 this was the town (belde) of Bakış; when Law 6360 abolished the municipality it became today's neighborhood. The pre-2014 results on this page belong to that period; we combined them on one page so the place's history reads continuously.

The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 89.4%, while across Elbistan the leading party was AK Parti, with CHP here running 65.5 points above its district average. The same divide shows in the presidential runoff: Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu took 97.0% here, 64.6 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 94.6% of the neighborhood voted 'no' — 56.8 points above the district average.
CHP recorded its highest share at the 2011 parliamentary election with 96.3%. Turnout at the 2009 local election was 51.9%, 32.2 points below the district average. First place has changed hands 4 times here since 2009. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 57.1%, while Elbistan as a whole was won by AK Parti.
