Same place, formerly a town. Until 2014 this was the town (belde) of Izgın; when Law 6360 abolished the municipality it became today's neighborhood. The pre-2014 results on this page belong to that period; we combined them on one page so the place's history reads continuously.

Izgin ranks 18th by electorate among the 93 localities of Elbistan; it had 1,157 registered voters at the 2023 parliamentary election.
AK Parti took 56.2% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Elbistan the same party stood at 42.8%, putting the neighborhood 13.3 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 95.0% here and 67.6% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 94.6% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 62.1%.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 15 elections. AK Parti recorded its highest share at the 2015 parliamentary election with 90.8%. AK Parti stood at 87.4% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 56.2% by 2023. Turnout at the 2009 local election was 94.1%, 10.0 points above the district average.
