Same place, formerly part of a town.Apıklar belonged to the town (belde) of Büyükkızılcık until 2014; when Law 6360 abolished the municipality it became a separate neighborhood. The pre-2014 results on this page belong to that period.

AK Parti took 41.6% in the neighborhood at that election. Across Göksun the same party stood at 40.8%, putting the neighborhood 0.8 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 85.7% here and 75.5% across the district. At the 2010 referendum 82.7% of the neighborhood voted 'yes'; across the district that was 80.6%.
AK Parti stood at 53.4% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 41.6% by 2023. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to MHP with 57.1%, while Göksun as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 91.2%, 8.1 points above the district average.
