At the 2023 parliamentary election Ilica had 551 registered voters, placing it 9th among the 67 localities of Darende.
AK Parti took 320 of the 504 valid votes cast in the neighborhood at that election (63.5%). That puts the neighborhood 12.8 points above the party's district average. In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 90.1% here — 7.8 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 89.5% of the neighborhood voted 'yes' — 8.5 points above the district average.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 15 elections. AK Parti stood at 78.7% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 63.5% by 2023. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to Saadet Partisi with 46.3%, while Darende as a whole was won by AK Parti. Turnout at the 2009 local election was 89.2%, 7.4 points above the district average.
