In the presidential runoff Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 83.9% here — 24.1 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 88.8% of the neighborhood voted 'yes' — 32.6 points above the district average.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2011: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 11 elections. At the 2009 local election the neighborhood went to Saadet Partisi with 42.9%, while Doğanşehir as a whole was won by AK Parti. AK Parti recorded its highest share at the 2015 parliamentary election with 83.4%. AK Parti stood at 76.4% at the 2011 parliamentary election and fell to 56.7% by 2023.
