Same place, formerly a town. Until 2014 this was the town (belde) of Mollakent; when Law 6360 abolished the municipality it became today's neighborhood. The pre-2014 results on this page belong to that period; we combined them on one page so the place's history reads continuously.

At the 2023 parliamentary election Mollakent had 715 registered voters, placing it 16th among the 81 localities of Bulanık.
Yeşil Sol Parti took 398 of the 480 valid votes cast in the village at that election (82.9%). That puts the village 8.1 points above the party's district average. In the presidential runoff Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu took 77.4% here — 1.8 points below the district average. At the 2017 referendum 83.5% of the village voted 'no' — 11.4 points above the district average.
Yeşil Sol Parti stood at 99.1% at the 2015 parliamentary election and fell to 82.9% by 2023. The electorate shrank from 966 registered voters in 2011 to 715 in 2023 — a change of about 26 percent. The tightest race came at the 2009 local election: DTP took 437 votes to AK Parti's 425 — a margin of just 12 votes. At the 2023 parliamentary election 34 of 514 ballots cast were ruled invalid (6.6%), well above the district average.
