A single ballot box served Alanici at the 2023 parliamentary election, with 175 registered voters; that places it 114th among the 145 localities of Muş.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 87 votes, while across Muş the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 37.8 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 133 of 164 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 27.4 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 167 of 174 valid votes were 'yes' — 31.3 points above the district average.
The picture has not changed since 2009: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 9 elections. At the 2023 parliamentary election 10 of 141 ballots cast were ruled invalid (7.1%), well above the district average. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 85.1%, 13.6 points above the district average.
