Baglar is one of the localities of Muş; it had 1,365 registered voters at the 2018 parliamentary election.
The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2018 parliamentary election it went to Yeşil Sol Parti with 45.4%, while across Muş the leading party was AK Parti with 43.6%, leaving Yeşil Sol Parti at 40.4%. In the presidential election Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took 53.0% here and 53.2% across the district. At the 2017 referendum 66.3% of the village voted 'yes'; across the district that was 64.7%.
Yeşil Sol Parti stood at 66.0% at the 2015 parliamentary election and fell to 45.4% by 2018. Turnout at the 2018 parliamentary election was 74.7%, 6.6 points below the district average.
