Mesecik ranks 131st by electorate among the 145 localities of Muş. The village has a single ballot box, and 109 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 70 votes, while across Muş the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 37.7%, leaving AK Parti at 28.6%. In the presidential runoff, 72 of 86 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 53.7%.
The picture has not changed since 2018: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 4 elections. At the 2024 local election the village went to AK Parti with 32 votes, while Muş as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 91.0%, 19.5 points above the district average.
