Doganca is one of the localities of Varto. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 160 voters were registered there for the 2015 parliamentary election.
126 people voted at that election. Yeşil Sol Parti took the most votes with 108; CHP followed with 15. Yeşil Sol Parti's share here is 5.3 points below the district average. In the presidential election, 99 of 155 valid votes went to Selahattin Demirtaş; across the district that share was 88.1%. At the 2017 referendum 106 of 115 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 86.1%.
At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 42 votes, while Varto as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2015 parliamentary election was 78.8%, 5.9 points below the district average.
