Olcekli is one of the localities of Varto; it had 396 registered voters at the 2015 parliamentary election.
Yeşil Sol Parti took 337 of the 342 valid votes cast in the neighborhood at that election (98.5%). That puts the neighborhood 7.5 points above the party's district average. In the presidential election Selahattin Demirtaş took 98.9% here — 10.8 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 94.6% of the neighborhood voted 'no' — 8.5 points above the district average.
The neighborhood has stayed on the same line since 2014: the same political line has finished first in all of the last 5 elections (BDP in 2014, Yeşil Sol Parti in 2015, HDP in 2019, DEM Parti in 2024).
