Tasliyayla is one of the localities of Varto. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 157 voters were registered there for the 2015 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2015 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 87 votes, while across Varto the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 91.0%, leaving CHP at 4.1%. In the presidential election, 104 of 148 valid votes went to Ekmeleddin Mehmet İhsanoğlu; across the district that share was 8.3%. At the 2017 referendum 107 of 111 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 86.1%.
The picture has not changed since 2009: CHP has finished first in all of the last 7 elections. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 64 votes, while Varto as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 77.3%, 10.5 points above the district average.
