Tasliyayla is one of the localities of Varto; it had 157 registered voters at the 2015 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2015 parliamentary election it went to CHP with 87 votes, while across Varto the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with CHP here running 65.5 points above its district average. In the presidential election, 104 of 148 valid votes went to Ekmeleddin Mehmet İhsanoğlu — 62.0 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 107 of 111 valid votes were 'no' — 10.3 points above the district average.
The tightest race came at the 2015 parliamentary election: CHP took 79 votes to Yeşil Sol Parti's 71 — a margin of just 8 votes. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 64 votes, while Varto as a whole was won by DEM Parti. The picture has not changed since 2009: CHP has finished first in all of the last 7 elections. Turnout at the 2024 local election was 77.3%, 10.5 points above the district average.
