Kavurgali ranks 56th by electorate among the 69 localities of Başkale. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 138 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.

125 people voted at that election. Yeşil Sol Parti took the most votes with 89; AK Parti followed with 9. Yeşil Sol Parti's share here is 10.2 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 102 of 114 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu; across the district that share was 77.0%. At the 2017 referendum 170 of 174 valid votes were 'no'; across the district the 'no' share was 81.4%.
