Barisik ranks 30th by electorate among the 41 localities of Gevaş. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 256 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 147 votes, while across Gevaş the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti, with AK Parti here running 37.9 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 175 of 190 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — 39.1 points above the district average.
The picture has not changed since 2023: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 4 elections. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 157 votes, while Gevaş as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 75.8%, 5.3 points below the district average.
