Barisik ranks 30th by electorate among the 41 localities of Gevaş. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 256 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 147 votes, while across Gevaş the leading party was Yeşil Sol Parti with 43.3%, leaving AK Parti at 38.6%. In the presidential runoff, 175 of 190 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 53.0%.
The picture has not changed since 2023: AK Parti has finished first in all of the last 4 elections. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to AK Parti with 157 votes, while Gevaş as a whole was won by DEM Parti. Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 75.8%, 5.3 points below the district average.
