How Agarti votes

Agarti is one of the localities of Van Merkez. The village has a single ballot box, and 103 voters were registered there for the 2011 parliamentary election.

The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 76 votes, while across Van Merkez the leading party was independents with 63.4%, leaving AK Parti at 31.2%. At the 2010 referendum 97 of 97 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 94.5%.

At the 2009 local election the village went to AK Parti with 57 votes, while Van Merkez as a whole was won by DTP. Turnout at the 2011 parliamentary election was 89.3%, 7.0 points above the district average.
