How Cakirbey votes
Cakirbey is one of the localities of Van Merkez. The village has a single ballot box, and 253 voters were registered there for the 2011 parliamentary election.
The village parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2011 parliamentary election it went to AK Parti with 139 votes, while across Van Merkez the leading party was independents with 63.4%, leaving AK Parti at 31.2%. At the 2010 referendum 148 of 252 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 94.5%.
