Kirlar ranks 29th by electorate among the 97 localities of Akdağmadeni. The neighborhood has a single ballot box, and 213 voters were registered there for the 2023 parliamentary election.

177 people voted at that election. AK Parti took the most votes with 85; MHP followed with 48. AK Parti's share here is 4.7 points above the district average. In the presidential runoff, 148 of 165 valid votes went to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; across the district that share was 81.2%. At the 2017 referendum 173 of 192 valid votes were 'yes'; across the district the 'yes' share was 79.2%.
