With 73 voters on the roll at the 2023 parliamentary election, Asagikuyucak stands 13th among the 25 localities of Aydıncık, and its votes were cast at one ballot box.
The neighborhood parts ways with the district as a whole. At the 2023 parliamentary election it went to İYİ Parti with 57 votes, while across Aydıncık the leading party was AK Parti, with İYİ Parti here running 71.0 points above its district average. In the presidential runoff, 64 of 68 valid votes went to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu — 74.6 points above the district average. At the 2017 referendum 63 of 66 valid votes were 'no' — 77.1 points above the district average.
Turnout at the 2023 parliamentary election was 86.3%, 5.3 points below the district average. The tightest race came at the 2024 local election: CHP took 36 votes to MHP's 21 — a margin of just 15 votes. The electorate shrank from 115 registered voters in 2011 to 73 in 2023 — a change of about 37 percent. At the 2024 local election the neighborhood went to CHP with 36 votes, while Aydıncık as a whole was won by AK Parti.
